A Visit From the Local CARP Kids!

by Joey Sacco on January 24, 2018
Today, we were given the opportunity to give the local CARP (Career Awareness Readiness Program) kids a tour of our shop. The goal for these tours is to visit local business, both small and large, in order to show the kids a wide spectrum of options for their future. Being that we Tegan and I have both earned our degrees in Mechanical Engineering, and worked the field for several years before breaking off and starting Turtle Labs, we can speak to both the corporate world and the small business world.

We think that skilled trades need to be brought back into the states, and we make sure to get that point across to the kids. Much skill that what was used to build this country is becoming a lost art as more and more manufacturing is taken over seas. It's a great feeling to show next generations of working people how we function in our shop, and explain how we take raw materials and transform them into the products we offer to sell.
